राज़-ए-तकरार (The Secret of Argumentation)

Devanagari: कुछ मुद्दाौ पर हम भी अपना मौक़िफ़ तहरीर में बयान करते हैं। पर हर एक बात पे लोगों से दलीलों पे तकरार नहीं करते हैं।

English: On some issues, I too express my stance through writing. But I do not engage in heated arguments or debate with people over every single point.

Devanagari: कुछ लोग तो इतने माहिर-ए-बहस होते हैं कि हर बात पे करते हैं तकरार। यक़ीनन जीत जाते हैं वो तकरार पर खो देते हैं अपने क़रीबी यार।

English: Some people are such experts at arguing that they debate over everything. Surely they win the argument, but in the process, they lose their close friends.

Devanagari: उनके लिए बहस जीतना एक ग़ुरूर का सबब बन जाता है अक्सर। अपनी ग़लती जान कर भी वो तकरार करने में रखते नहीं हैं कोई कसर।

English: Winning an argument often becomes a source of pride for them. Even after realizing their mistake, they leave no stone unturned to keep arguing.

Devanagari: कई बार उनका रक़ीब अपने दिल में उन्हें समझने लगता है जाहिल। पर उनका ग़ुरूर अपनी ग़लती क़बूलने को उनको नहीं करता है माइल।

English: Many times, their opponent starts viewing them as ignorant in their heart. Yet, their pride never allows or inclines them to admit their mistake.

Devanagari: अपनी ग़लती लगे तो क़बूल कर लो और कोशिश करो करने की उसको सही। साबित हुए तुम दुरुस्त तो यह नहीं कहना कि पहले से ही हम कहते थे यही।

English: If you feel you are wrong, accept it and try to make it right. And if you are proven correct, avoid boasting, "I was telling you this all along!"

Devanagari: तकरार की ज़रूरत होती है जब किसी के साथ होता नहीं है इंसाफ़। या हुकूमत कोई ऐसा चलाए जिसके नेक नहीं होते हैं औसाफ़।

English: Confrontation is necessary when an injustice is committed against someone, Or when someone governs with intentions that are far from virtuous.

Devanagari: ख़ामख़ाह हर बात पे तकरार करने की कोई ज़रूरत तो नहीं है हमको। नेक रखो अपने आमाल किसी से उलझने की ज़रूरत तो नहीं है तुमको।

English: There is no need for us to argue pointlessly over every small matter. Keep your actions noble; you don't need to get into conflicts with anyone.

8.

Devanagari: अहले-नाव की नयी फ़सलों से यह गुज़ारिश करते हैं हम अक्सर। बहस में पड़ने के बदले कुछ कर के गुज़र जाना है बेहतर।

English: I often request this of the new generation (the rising crop of youth): Instead of falling into endless debates, it is far better to achieve something meaningful through your actions.
