I herewith present a book comprising of sixty four mini and short stories , written by me, over a period of almost ten years . Most of these stories have earlier been published in various local magzines etc., but it is for the first time that I have made an attempt to compile all of them in the form of a book , on the request of my readers and well wishers. I have actually started writing these stories and various other articles on my blog entitled " My Wanderings". These short stories mostly relate to my experiences of childhood and youth, which I spent in Kashmir. These also reflect my memories blended with the rich experiences, inspired by wonderful lives of my friends , colleagues and relatives who influenced and enriched my literary concept . I beleive that good literature is nothing but the life truly and closely depicted. As some one has said it "The Books are mirrors , you only see in them what you already have inside you".
I do not claim to be a great writer or master of literature , but it is my amateur attempt in the field , the success of which can only be judged by my readers.
I am thankful to my various friends including Sh.P.K.Mam , Dr.Girja Dhar, Sh.Ashok Ogra ,Sh. B.L.Zutshi and Sh.Ravinder Raina for encouraging me in the field of writing by their invaluable suggestions and support.
My special thanks to my wife Mrs.Neelam Koul for her patience and encouragement which I highly value.
I also hereby acknowledge the services of my daughter Shikha and my son Akshay ,who helped me in making my blogs and formating , editing etc. of my manuscript meticulously and deligently, which made possible for my book to see the light of day .
